The Challenge
Hospital teams coordinate across specialists, residents, nurses, and administrative staff — yet most communication still happens on disconnected channels, with PHI moving through tools that were never built for healthcare. Hospital management systems rarely solved the day-to-day collaboration layer where care actually happens.
Our Approach
We built CareTeam as a coordination layer on top of existing hospital management systems. It unifies EMR-aware patient walls, HIPAA-compliant file sharing through Box, and integrated VoIP calling so any team member can call any other directly from the directory. Roles, escalations, and patient context follow the conversation.
The Outcome
Care teams replaced fragmented, compliance-risky tooling with a single, healthcare-grade collaboration layer — and gained structured visibility into communication patterns that previously vanished into phone calls.
