A real-time insurance verification platform for clinicians, supporting batch and single-patient checks across 300+ payers via ASC X12N 270/271, with full HIPAA-compliant patient history and automated browser-based fallbacks.
The Challenge
Verifying patient insurance before treatment is one of the most error-prone, time-expensive steps in clinical operations. Providers were chasing 300+ payers across paper forms, payer portals, and slow back-office processes, often catching coverage issues only after care had been delivered — when the revenue was already at risk.
Our Approach
We built an industrial-grade insurance verification platform supporting batch and one-off verification, proprietary and CSV patient ingestion, persistent verification history, and an embedded browser fallback that remembers credentials for payers without modern APIs. Standardised payer communication runs over ASC X12N 270/271. The full system is HIPAA compliant. Structured, machine-readable eligibility data of this scale is the foundation today's AI-driven pre-auth and claims automation runs on.
The Outcome
Providers cut verification cycle time dramatically and recovered revenue that would otherwise have been written off as ineligible. Carevault now supports 300+ payers in a single, defensible workflow.
