Project Overview
A ServiceNow plugin that monitors internal network traffic in real time, scanning UDP packets and creating ServiceNow incidents automatically based on configurable thresholds — built on a self-scaling pub/sub architecture.
The Challenge
DigiSignals' enterprise customers were running ServiceNow as their incident-management backbone but lacked an automated bridge from raw network telemetry into ServiceNow incidents. Critical network conditions were being noticed too late, after impact.
Our Approach
We engineered a ServiceNow plugin that monitors internal network traffic by scanning UDP packets and creating structured ServiceNow incidents automatically when configured thresholds are crossed. The architecture is a self-scaling pub/sub model that grows producers, processors, and consumers based on load. The same event-driven, threshold-triggered automation pattern is precisely how today's AI-driven IT operations platforms are wired.
The Outcome
Operations teams received structured, ServiceNow-native alerts on real-time network conditions without manual triage, cutting the gap between signal and ticket from hours to seconds.
