Project Overview
An IoT-integrated theft-prevention and movement tracking platform for Exide Batteries, integrating with weighing scales to detect anomalies in vehicle loads and alert authorities to discrepancies in real time.
The Challenge
Exide's battery distribution had a recurring shrinkage problem: parts were being skimmed during loading and unloading, and the manual reconciliation process was too slow to catch it. Drivers, vehicles, and batches needed traceable accountability that paper logs could not provide.
Our Approach
We built a platform that integrates directly with the weighing scale and dispatch system, capturing real load weights against expected batch weights and flagging anomalies immediately. Drivers, vehicles, and shipments are tracked through the chain, with alerts raised to the responsible authority when discrepancies appear. The structured supply-chain anomaly data is the kind of substrate today's AI-driven logistics fraud detection systems extend.
The Outcome
Exide closed a significant operational leak in its battery distribution, with structured accountability across drivers, vehicles, and batches replacing manual reconciliation.
