A customised, multi-format library management platform tailored for Bookmark Library's multi-branch operations across books, toys, magazines, and CDs.
The Challenge
Bookmark Library needed a single operational system for a four-format catalogue across several branches, with member subscriptions, inventory accountability, and consistent collections — without forcing staff onto rigid off-the-shelf software that did not respect how their branches actually ran.
Our Approach
Building on our proven Library Information Management System framework, we tailored a deployment to Bookmark Library's branch structure, member tiers, and damaged-item policies. The system handled onboarding, plan selection, issue and return, damaged-product workflows, multi-branch inventory, payment collection, and automated reminders. A movement analytics layer surfaced patterns for inventory decisions — the same structured data discipline that powers intelligent recommendation systems today.
The Outcome
Bookmark consolidated branch operations onto a single platform, freed staff from spreadsheet maintenance, and gave leadership real-time visibility into member behaviour and inventory across the network.
