SkillByte is a recruiter-facing applicant tracking and engagement platform with a built-in resume parser that extracts candidate personal details, education, experience, and awards at 90%+ accuracy from raw resumes.
The Challenge
Recruiters were spending the majority of their day on data entry: re-typing candidate details into ATS systems, reconciling inconsistent resume formats, and losing context as candidates moved across pipelines. Medulla wanted to give their team a system that worked on resumes the way recruiters actually receive them.
Our Approach
We built SkillByte as a recruiter-first application combining candidate sourcing, pipeline tracking from outreach through joining, and an in-house resume parser achieving 90%+ extraction accuracy across name, education, experience, and awards. Recruiters could ingest a raw resume and have a structured candidate record in seconds. The structured candidate data layer is precisely the substrate today's AI-driven hiring copilots extend.
The Outcome
Recruiters reclaimed hours per day from manual data entry and gained a single view of candidate status from first contact to onboarding.
