Stock 27 is a creative stock photography and video marketplace for Indian content, with contributor uploads, multi-resolution licensing, dynamic Photoshop-driven image optimisation, and automated watermarking.
The Challenge
India had no flagship creative stock content marketplace built around Indian visuals. Stock 27 set out to fill that gap — but the platform needed to handle uploads at scale, multi-resolution licensing, optimisation across formats, and watermark protection automatically.
Our Approach
We built Stock 27 as a contributor-first marketplace. Photographers and videographers upload across categories; buyers license at the resolution they need for personal or commercial use. The platform dynamically calls Photoshop to optimise and resize images on demand, applies watermark overlays, and supports exclusive-rights licensing for fixed durations or lifetime. The structured content-and-rights metadata is precisely the substrate today's AI-driven visual search and licensing platforms extend.
The Outcome
Stock 27 launched a creator-driven Indian stock content marketplace with structured licensing and automated rendering — replacing manual asset preparation with a scalable pipeline.
